The 2024 APWA Colorado Annual Chapter Conference will be held October 21 & 22 at the Denver Marriott West in Golden!
The Colorado Chapter of the American Public Works Association (APWA) is requesting abstracts for presentation at the 10th Annual Chapter Conference to be held in October 2024. We are interested in creative and innovative presentations. You are invited to speak and share your public works experiences.
The deadline for submitting abstracts is Wednesday, May 1, 2024! Please share your projects and experiences with Public Works professionals from around the state!
2024 Theme: SHAPING THE FUTURE
Public Works professionals play a vital role in shaping the future of Colorado’s infrastructure. Whether managing and operating roadways, drainage systems, or facilities, the best approaches look forward anticipating future needs and proactively planning for the challenges that inevitably come with each project. The 2024 Annual Conference will focus on the strategies, methods, tools, and technology Public Works professionals are using to plan ahead.
The conference committee is calling for papers that identify new or existing technologies, emerging industries, sustainability practices, and innovative project planning techniques that help you prepare for tomorrow’s work. The best approach is a proactive approach. Come share your ideas and collaborate so we can collectively continue to grow as an industry and shape a better future
Deadlines:
May 1, 2024 – Abstract submittal forms due
June 3, 2024 – Notification of acceptance for presentation at the Conference
Submittals will only be accepted using the submittal form available on the Colorado Chapter
website! Please complete the submittal form and return electronically via email to
bdweimer@msn.com by May 1, 2024 (do not reply to this email address, it is not monitored).
We anticipate notifying speakers of their selection by June 3, 2024. Current information on
the conference will be posted on the conference page at https://colorado.apwa.org/ as it
becomes available.
