The 2025 class has been filled.

The Rocky Mountain Public Works Institute provides a regional program that educates and elevates public works employees, helping them achieve their management and leadership potential through interactive classes taught by experienced public works officials. The Institute follows the proven APWA model that has been successfully implemented by a number of other APWA chapters throughout the country.

  • Community service/customer orientation skills
  • Legal understanding
  • Fundamentals of government
  • Finance
  • Resource management skills
  • Public works operations
  • Creating the future

PWI takes one year to complete. Sessions are held on the second Wednesday and Thursday of alternating months starting in January (January, March, May, July, September) and conclude with the Annual Chapter Conference in October. Sessions are held at the City of Littleton, 2255 W. Berry Avenue. Sessions are from 8am-5pm on the scheduled dates.

Registration for the 2025 class has closed with all spots being filled.  We will open registration for the 2026 class in spring of 2025.
