As the leader of the Stormwater Team within the Public Works Department, the Stormwater Supervisor is essential to the success of the Stormwater Division. This role involves fostering collaboration with various Town departments and providing essential assistance to developers, all within a customer-centric work environment. Ensures the equitable delivery of vital services to protect public health and improve the quality of life of Windsor citizens. This position performs supervisory, management, and highly skilled analytical and administrative work in planning, developing, and overseeing operations and maintenance of the Town’s Stormwater Management Program. They establish and implement programs, goals, and performance standards in accordance with local, state, and federal laws and regulations set forth by the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment, as well as the Environmental Protection Agency.
Manages and reviews development and construction projects to ensure that the design, construction, and maintenance of the Town’s stormwater assets comply with established criteria, plans, and specifications. This includes ensuring stormwater quality compliance and permitting, conducting site inspections, enforcing the Town’s municipal codes, leading public outreach initiatives, and overseeing stormwater mitigation projects. Key responsibilities include adhering to the Colorado Discharge Permit System (CDPS) and the General Permit for stormwater discharges associated with the Town’s Municipal Separate Storm Sewer Systems (MS4) permit.
Responsible for managing capital improvement projects related to stormwater maintenance, environmental spill cleanups, the mosquito control program, and water quality sampling.

Salary and benefits information: $85,421 – $119,589 annually
